Dublin electoral roll help

Hi

I am looking for information on where in Dublin my grandfather lived before he moved over to England.
All involved have now passed.

His name was William Wilson and he would have been around 7/8 when he left Belfast to move to Dublin in or around 1930ish.
His mother was called Agnes McKenna but more than likely going under the name of Agnes Harvey as the man she lived there with was called Thomas Brookes Harvey.
They lived in Dublin at least until 1942 as they had a daughter in 1942.
By 1948 they were in England.

Any help locating them would be greatly appreciated.

Electoral Rolls are only searchable by address for that period - not by name

Is there any way to search by name for the period of 1930 to 1948?

not online - Electoral lists for Dublin city 1937 to 1964 can be searched in Pearse Street Library

The originals are by street, but I think they are digitized, so possibly searchable by name

(they were online at one stage but had to be removed)

Thank you for the information. I do remember searching years ago and finding something but not making note of it and then it vanished.
