Maria Hendrika Coops - when and where was she born?
« on: Wednesday 06 July 22 15:47 BST (UK) »
Maria married Norman Francis Hunter on the 16 August 1955 with the wedding taking place in Gouda, Holland. I am trying to find her date and place of birth and if possible, the names of her parents and possible siblings. Any help gratefully received.

Trying to pin point where and when Frances Margaretha Hunter (daughter of Maria Coops and Norman Hunter) was born. Parents married in 1955, son born in England 1959. Father was in the RAF when he married Maria. No sign of Frances Margaretha in civil birth registrations which possibly indicates that she was born overseas. A search of the British Armed Forces And Overseas Births And Baptisms has come up with two possibilities:-

Hunter, Frances M -- birth 1955 - 1960; registered Dusseldorf, Germany

Hunter, Frances M -- birth 1957; registered Wegberg, Germany.

I favour the second one as in 1954, the RAF  had opened a new base, RAF  Rheindahlenand and in anticipation of the base, Royal Air Force Hospital Wegberg had opened in 1953.

Is there any way that I can prove my theory?
