Messaging another user

Hi there,
I am trying to message another user, but every time I try I get a message in red saying that I am not authorised to message at this time.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi Mike,

You just need to reply to their topic first, new members with 0 posts are unable to access the PM function yet.
