Hennessy in Tipperary

While I am on the search for my Great Grandfather, John Welch/Walsh/Welsh, I do know a bit about his wife Bridget Hennessy.  At least I know where she came from and her parents.

Although there seems to be some doubt that I have the correct parents for her.
My Great Grandfather is the mystery.  I cannot find, where in Ireland he was born.  There is a marriage between John and Bridget in Illinois, although they lived in Iowa and it was 7 years after their first child (my Grandfather) was born.

I've been looking for John, on and off since I was 21 yrs old.  I am now 68.  All I have ever wanted was to find his birthplace in Ireland and walk the ground that he did.  But it looks like that will never happen.

It was my suggestion that Deb (dwelch) began a new topic for John Welsh/Walsh as DNA had yielded no leads. I hoped you, aghadowey and other Ireland researchers might be able to make progress.
