« on: Friday 29 July 22 21:52 BST (UK) »
So I have been looking up my great grandmother, that my mother personally knew. I have a bunch of holes in the information of her and her siblings. I was wondering if anyone better than I can find any information on them (I am new to this)

So my 2x Great grandparents are

--------------------------------------

My Great Grandmother
Daisy Lily Cooper 23 NOV 1894 • Stambourne, Essex, England. Died 1 MAR 1986 • New Milton, Hampshire, England
I have a fair amount of information on her and her first marriage to a George Arthur Barr. What I am missing is anything on her 2nd husband

Henry William Curtis birth unknown??? Death 4 Apr 1947 • Hampshire, England. I think Daisy and Henry married in Day? month? 1928. I am looking for where they lived after 1928? what they did? etc.

--------------------------------
Granduncle

Benjamin Cooper born October ?? 1882 / 83 in Halstead, Essex, England. died ??? married ??? kids??? I have nothing of him after 1911 census where he was living with his parents in Ridgewell.

GrandAunt

The birth registration of Daisy Lily Cooper has a mother’s maiden name of WINCH not CHOAT

    Name:   Mother's Maiden Surname:
COOPER, DAISY  LILY     WINCH
GRO Reference: 1895  M Quarter in HALSTEAD  Volume 04A  Page 695

Have you got her birth certificate?

Uncle Benjamin’s birth

COOPER, BENJAMIN       WINCH
GRO Reference: 1882  D Quarter in HALSTEAD  Volume 04A  Page 483

So this marriage seems likely (using freeBMD. https://www.freebmd.org.uk)

Marriages Dec 1881   (>99%)
COOPER    John        Halstead    4a   770
Wynch    Martha        Halstead    4a   770

NB you can buy PDFs of birth and death certificates from the GRO for £7 but marriages (if not online) you have to buy hard copy certs to be posted for £11

Looking at electoral rolls and newspapers I think they ran the King’s Arms at Lymington.

Deleted a bit here re the 1939 I think was wrong.

Martha Wynch / Winch is the daughter of Miriam Winch, and was born 1862. Miriam subsequently married Benjamin Choat, and Martha sometimes uses his surname

Martha WINCH / WYNCH (illegitimate child of Miriam WINCH)
Born 9 Nov 1862; bapt 14 May 1863 Ridgewell, St Laurence

Miriam was the daughter of church cleric, James WINCH (born abt 1800) and Lucinda (born 1810).
Miriam married 1863 Halstead to Benjamin CHOAT and her daughter Martha took her step-father’s surname.

Birth rego for Martha.
