If I have the correct Joseph Murtagh he married Olive Plumley in 1942. I have the Plumley line well sorted but the Murtagh line is now on my to do list. I have ordered the marriage cert to confirm fathers dame etc.

That would be good.

There is a likely candidate in Birmingham in 1939 with a similar (but not exact) birthdate but cannot see a Birmingham birth so that looks favourable.

Yes that would be Joseph listed as a labourer which I think is likely the same person
