Rose Family
« on: Sunday 31 July 22 19:17 BST (UK) »
Hello all.
This is for a relative so my information on this family is limited, sorry. Many years ago I was asked to do a tree, which I did but very basic. My subscription to all the sites has expired & I know I must renew however I was hoping that someone might be able to fill in the gap that has been asked for please.

Joseph Rose b 1866 M Annie King b 1868    daughter Annie Rose b 1897 D 5/1/1962 .
Annie Rose (b1897)  M James Cooper (b1892) All come from Southwall Newark.

Annie Cooper (nee Rose) death cert. (5/1/1962) has Derek Rose for registering the death.

Who is Derek? Where does he fit in the tree?

James Cooper & Annie Rose had a daughter Dorothy b. 6/6/1922.  d ?/2/1988

Thank you for looking

Did Annie have any male siblings?  Could he be a son of one of them?

Did her father have brothers who had sons?  He could be her cousin or even 2nd cousin

EDIT

1901 - brother Joseph aged 9

1911 - brother Frank 10mths

Thank you Carole, yes it's a possibility, I've just been looking on familysearch & also found them.
This is something I'm going to have to look in to as I said I only originally did a very basic tree, - direct line, as that is what was asked for. I think I'm going to have to start again from scratch, unfortunately I didn't keep any of the tree, it wasn't mine & done as a favour. Now more than 10 years on, due to health reasons my relation is looking for their roots, no reason other than curiosity (I think).

Thank you again for looking, I will start again tomorrow,  from the beginning ;)

Thank you, interesting. I wonder if Derrick had a son Derick ? Or if there are any other members of the Rose family living in Newark, My relation would like to get in touch, bit like long lost family.  ;D

Thank you all for looking

P.S I'm not using this site to look for living people, just information, it's not my family.

Given Annie died in 1962 it seems more likely her nephew registered her death and his name has been misspelled on the certificate. Any son of his would only have been a child in 1962
