parents of William Harmer

William was born in St Marylebone abt 1812, I'm looking for more info on his parents and any siblings. his parents were given as James & Sarah but I know no more. William was living at Short St Marylebone in 1840 & died of TB in 1860. He married Jane Turner in 1836 at St James Paddington, TIA Pete

There is a baptism on Ancestry 10.9.1813 showing those parents.  Birth date shown as 12.8.1813 Pitt St Tottenham Court Rd St Pancras.  Father was a plasterer

Added -just had a look- that isn't him as he was alive and plastering in 1891 , minedied of TB in 1860

Be careful - there was another William Harmer who appears in the censuses 1851-1881, born around 1813 in St Pancras. 

Why do you think your William Harmer's parents were James and Sarah?

I realised that, just added a note on Carole W 's post. Not certain of where I got the parent's names from, maybe Wm's marriage

1851 birthplace for your William is just Middlesex.  He was living in Marylebone

His death in Sept qtr 1860 shows him as 51 although 1851 age is 39.  He died 28.6.1860 & burial record shows he was admitted to "the infirmary" on 18th May

Just  to add a little more confusion  so that gives a birth date of abt 1809 or 1812

You couldn't have got his parents names from an 1836 marriage as only fathers names are shown - but not on marriages prior to 1.7.1837 - so suspect it was from either the Ancestry entry or somebody's tree

If he was 51 as at 18 May 1860 he could have been born any time between 19 May 1808 and 18 May 1809.
