Information on C.Cunningham

Hi, After my aunty died back in the mid 1960's & is now buried at Springvale, Vic.the family lost complete track of my uncle Charles after the funeral.His date of birth is unknown to me but I dare say he is dead many years now. His name was Charles Cunningham and apart from the fact he married my aunt Betsy,( who was a war widow by then). My aunt was born in Long Eaton on Dec 30th 1911.Charles and Betsy were married in Melbourne I believe sometime after WW2.I would dearly love to find Charles's resting place on behalf of the remaining family.We believe he may have had a brother that was a doctor but that is all we know.It's a long shot, but if anyone could help locate him it would make us all feel much better knowing where he is.If i manage to obtain any other details i will post them.

Might they have been buried together?  I would check that out first.

Have you checked with Springvale whether Charles is buried in the same grave?

What was your aunt’s full name before marriage? When did she marry Cunningham?

Well , a bit of guesswork happening here.

A death notice for a woman named Eleanor Betsy CUNNINGHAM appeared in the Age  6th April 1976.
In summary
....of ....Bulleen dearly loved wife of Charles....
Nee KENT. Known as Betts.
Names some siblings.

So is this her?

The woman I have named above, Eleanor Betsy nee KENT, was married to Thomas STEPHENS .

He served in the Airforce and was killed in a flying accident in 1944 in Scotland.
Her address at that time was Flat 48, Ardoch. Dandenong Rd East St Kilda.

This death notice for one Charles CUNNINGHAM shows he shared the same address ** Bulleen  **** as the woman Eleanor Betsy (discussed above) as listed in her death notice.
