I have no death for him either.

Possible death and burial? This one is a tad old but your Henry's year of birth on censuses did seem to go down over the years. And your Henry seems to be the only one about this age in east London on the 1901 census.

Cuffie thank you it's very interesting we only found out about the sick asylum today following a babys death in 1900 x

Think I might have found Henrys marriage but before I post details which of the sons/daughters birth certs show mothers maiden name as Smith.

I'll leave it to John to pick up the thread tomorrow but in the meantime, I think this birth reg. in 1879 probably isn't the Thomas you're looking for.
