Out of interest how many weeks would you all say was a "fair number of weeks". On complaining about lack of action on something I have been told that I need to grow up and learn patience, give them a fair number of weeks to act.  My definition of fair number seems to be very different to their so was wondering if I just had weird ideas and they're right about me being completely unreasonable.

Last century, we used to supply the NHS Estates Departments and their orders used to include seven signatures from seven departmental heads.

I can't recall the time those documents spent circulating around the departments, but say:-  seven departments x one week each department (and the rest).

Best wishes, Rena

Spent Tuesday afternoon with the twins - hotter than expected but they were loving it.

Talking of the weather and the good old Met. Office - suddenly last night when I checked forecast before I went to bed it had changed to a yellow warning of thunderstorms.   Forecast for Ipswich showed thunderstorms 5/6/7am, heavy rain all morning, and light rain all afternoon.   So, as I didn't want to get woken up to thunderstorms I put earplugs in when I went to bed.   Now know we didn't get any at all, and have not had a single drop of rain all day.

How do they get it so wrong?

This isn't an NHS thing, just one individual who needs to respond and I think I've waited long enough but am being told I'm being impatient and immature.

The last ever series of Doc Martin will be on TV from 7th September. Ruskie, I know you like the show, don't know when you'll get it in your part of the world.

I think you might be mixing me up with someone else Roobarb. I quite like it but am not a regular viewer.  ;D

Might have been me.  I think we were watching it on Acorn or BritBox streaming.  I do love that dog!
