Surname ‘Lunar’ Cumberland

Does anyone have the surname ‘Lunar’ in their family tree

I have Edmond Rumney marrying Margaret ‘Lunar’ 20th April 1663 at Hesket-in-the-Forest Cumberland but when I try and trace any Lunar families I have drawn a blank.
Wondering if anyone else has a surname like this or similar in their tree.
I am wondering if maybe the transcription may be incorrect

It might be that Lunar isn't from the area or perhaps it is referring to the calendar, as in Lunar moon.

I would recommend getting hold of the original record and perhaps seeing if it was written incorrectly

Looking at the entry I think it has been added in February 2023 so wondering if someone has added it after seeing this discussion rather from an actual transcription.

Thanks Judy, I didn't realise there had been another long thread and interesting discussion about the name. And I didn't look at the date of your original post on this thread - I'm wondering, did you get to see any more entries in the same hand which may have had a "K"? The name certainly is ?ILNER, not LUNAR.
