I see Kate Philomena is referred to as only Philomena in the marriage notices. Both in Australia and NZ.

I presume you have their  son Herbert Dominquez Hyde-Harris buried East Taieri age 4 months  died 6 Feb 1883 at Mosgiel.   I cannot see that she was buried there too.


I cannot see a remarriage in NZ. I've looked in Trove too, thinking she may have gone back to family in Australia.  Nothing.

...   noticed in his Will (and in annexed documents), his widow is referred to as
