In 1901 there are 4 daughters
Maria 16 married 1908
Margaret 12 - no marriage found
Hannah 10 - married 1915
Ellen 7 married 1919
So my guess for her mother would be either Margaret or Ellen
There was no daughter named Margaret - she was in fact Mary Ann born 1889.
Couldn't find a marriage for Mary Ann but noted a Mary Winifred married a Frederick Thomas Gough in Dec.qtr.1908 and by 1911 they'd had a son also named Frederick Thomas b.Jun.qtr.1909.
Then zilch - can't find these 3 again after 1911 and there appears to be no further children. Thought they could have emigrated but can find nothing there either.
There's no birth for a Mary Winifred Whewall/variants ca.1889 in Cheadle so was wondering whether Mary Ann became Mary Winifred? However, can't follow them after 1911, can't trace emigration record so where did they go?
Dorothy's birth certificate has to be purchased to establish who her mother actually was also, name of given father ...........English.
