Sarah Southgate of Alpheton
« on: Saturday 08 October 22 12:28 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has any details on a Sarah Southgate of Alpheton.  She was married to Alfred Southgate (who died in 1864), and I was interested in find when she died.

Any help would be great!

Hello
They married in Dec qtr 1843 Sudbury and she is a Sarah Death.
From the Will proven in 1864 Alfred's estate is £600 and he is a miller and farmer.
The 1861 census gives her date of birth as 1819 at Bures St Mary.
In 1851 they had been in Wormingford Essex.

The baptism at Bures St mary 26.10.1817 is probably her
Sarah d of Isaac and Rebecca Death blacksmith
They have 11 children from 1806-1820 including a Grimwood Death 1815.

1881 Assington Tyre Farm
Sarah Southgate widow housekeeper 57 born Bures St Mary for a Henry Dyer 37 farmer
Also there 1871 .
Death June 1887 Bury st Edmunds age 68 4a 388.
Burial 10th of June.
It could be her.The death certificate might give more details and confirm it.
