Clarence Frederick Cecil, late of 52 Lincoln's Inn Fields died 12 August 1873.  His will was proved on 8 January 1874 at the Principal Registry by his widow, Mary Susanna Isabella Cecil of 18 St James Square, William Henry Stemp and Alexander Ward.

You could obtain a copy of his will from https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hello Jack
I'm assuming you want to go back further rather than add detail to what you already have.
1861 Census Cheltenham Woodland Villa
Anne E Cecil 59 widow annuitant st Andrews Midd
Ellen 27 Bedford
Francis daughter 25 Dronfield
Clarence F 17 Lord of the Manor of Dronfield Ostend British subject

His marriage gives his father as Joseph Cecil dec.Gentleman ,but strangely both his sister's baptisms give his father as Samuel Hollings Cecil gentleman.

Samuel Hollings Cecil married an Elizabeth Ann Bennett Ryan spinster a minor with permission of her mother Ann Ryan 26.9.1825 at St Anne Soho.
Samuel Hollings Cecil died in 1850 in Maestrict Limburg Holland .Born 1802 Dronfield.
His Will names daughters Jane,Catherine,Clara ,Ellen and Francis.Son Rotherham and younger children which he helpfully doesn't name.
It looks like it was Clarence Frederick Cecil's grandfather who was Joseph Cecil.1753-1813.Rotherham died in 1852 which I suppose is when Clarence Frederick inherited.
Clarence would have been 8 when his father died but he had been in England with his mother at the time of the 1851 census and Samuel's Will doesn't shout family affection.
Given Clarence names his son Rotherham ,I think it is the same man and the Vicar got his father's name wrong.
What do you reckon?

I realised that this guy did not have a wife called Florence, but did have wives Francis (X abt 1894 in England) and Nancy (X 1926 in Perth). Hmmm .... ?

Update:
The guy who married Florence Olivia FORD on 25 Mar 1902 in Adelaide was Eustace Clarence CECIL (31y, son of Clarence CECIL).

This would be the first marriage in London for Eustace. The surname of the wife is Carter rather than Curtis as mentioned in the divorce proceedeings.

Marriages Jun 1894
Carter Frances
