1871 Census please
« on: Sunday 27 November 22 10:51 GMT (UK) »
Looking for a Jane Gilmour born 1857 circa in Lanarkshire, Scotland - probably in the Partick or Govan districts.
Her mother was Elizabeth, but not sure if she was still alive in 1871. Help appreciated thank you.

best wishes

Do you have any other information on Jane Gilmour and have you found her on other census records ..What do you know on her mother ?

There is a Jane Gilmour age 12 born about 1859 Govan she is living at 27 Alma Street Govan in 1871 .This Jane is with a mother Elizabeth Gilmour residing with her grandmother a Hellen Turner hard to say if this is the person you are looking for

It might be better to post all the information you have on her mother also which will help others to help you

Thanks Rosie

Jane died in 1930 aged 72. So born circa 1857 - her mother was Elizabeth McPherson and dad William Gilmour. The names come Jane's death certificate.

I don't think that family I mentioned on the 1871 census is yours the mothers maiden name was Turner ..I think the best thing would be to find the mother I see by the marriage certificate for Jane Gilmour in 1878 her mother was deceased so you are looking for a death on Scotland's People 1857-1878 .
