Just checked the 1857 birth - father is William Gilmour, a carter. Looks like the correct one.

Not sure where you live but the Mitchell Library should have some records and you can also try emailing both

But there is no date of parents marriage. Elizabeth is recorded as Elizabeth Gilmour ms Marshall

I don't think the marriage dates were recorded from 1856-1860 maybe the death certificate for Elizabeth might help.
