This is the link on Vic BDM website for the death of Francis Lanfranchi died Wonthaggi Victoria 1935 aged 62
mother Mary Anne Casey, father Bernard Francis Lanfranchi.
Note that the 2 entries have been mispelt and his age may not be accurate.

If you are not familiar with the town of Wonthaggi it has long been a coal mining area. Seems appropriate for Frank as a miner. He left a will (Public Record Office Victoria but it has not been digitised)

In 1909 he was miner at Maryborough, 1912-1914 employed by State Mine Wonthaggi living at Dudley (South Wonthaggi) The Wonthaggi miners were a very political lot and are fondly remembered in this district as the mine is open to visitors.

parents names are Thomas LANFRANCHI and Ellen (Nellie) WARNES

Thomas LANFRANCHI married Nellie WARNES 1896 in Victoria (2776 / 1896) Thomas/Francis would be very young, I wonder what it says on the marriage certificate.

I've just realised there was a child of Bernard and Mary Ann called Thomas Francis born 1872. This is much more likely to be the chap shume found and I've been looking at. Back to the drawing board ...

regarding the Lanfranchi that died in Wonthaggi in 1935, he is Thomas Francis Lanfranchi born 21 July 1872 Carisbrook, married 15 April 1896 St Arnaud Ellen Nellie Warnes had 3 children Alice Irene, Clarice Ellen, Thomas Francis died as a 3 year old
Thomas died 17 April 1935 Wonthaggi buried there as well, with his wife and the 2 daughters.
