Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for relatives of Pvt James Shaw - service no 14786177 - Royal Army Service Corps -died 30/10/1944 - buried Nuneaton (Our Lady of the Angels) Roman Catholic Churchyard.

The private memorial marking the grave of Pvt Shaw no longer provides adequate commemoration. The Commission are in the process of producing a new headstone
to mark his grave,

James was a driver in The Royal Army Service Corps born in Antrim
The Newspaper report of his funeral says he is the youngest don of Mr and Mrs James Shaw of Carrisbrooke Road Weddington Nuneaton.
James senior born 23.11.1900 clay worker at the brickyard Died 23rd March 1970.Born in Larne Northern Ireland
Mary wife born 13 March 1900 nee Reynolds.She died 7.10.1987
son Lawrence born 6.3.1920 -March 1972 Ilkeston .(He was married to a Millicent),
daughter Elizabeth 15.12.1921 married Thomas W Belcher in 1941.
