Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 21st February 2023 from 7.30p.m. - 9.15p.m. (approx.)
ON-LINE SPEAKER is SUSAN MOORE with a talk entitled ‘CHANCERY RECORDS’.
Susan will talk about the magic of Chancery, the family feuds found in the records of the Chancery court that can bring ancestors to life. They shine a light into the past with real characters and personalities. The basic genealogical information can be immense, such as records starting with – “My great grandfather .....” Susan ends with a quick guide on how to find and interpret these records.
Susan Moore has worked as a freelance genealogist and researcher all her working life and has experience in private, county and national archives, with an emphasis for several years on the history of houses and manorial lordships. For over 20 years now she has specialised in the records of the Chancery court in the National Archives.

Society Members who have consented to receive information by e-mail will find a meeting invitation link, and how to donate the voluntary £3 admission, in the E-News sent about 4 days before the meeting.
Those who do not receive E-News, or who are not Society Members, are welcome to join this meeting and should access the talk by emailing
liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk from the week before. An invitation will be sent out with sign in details of how to sign in to Zoom from 7.15pm on the night for a 7.30pm start.
