Thankyou 😊I'm going to go to the city library it's the top floor local studies I'm sure the will be able to help me

Yes I've been there many times  :) remember you need to start with the burial register which is in date order and will give you the information you need to then go to the Grave Register which will tell you who else is in the same plot as Mary.

Hi Jen B
Thankyou so much for the obituary of Mary I really appreciate you finding this information I never even knew my Great Grandmother lived in Duke Street

Just to give you an idea of what the houses looked like in Duke Street (images in public domain). My wife's great grandfather lived in 11 Duke Street in the 1900s.

Hi Allan uk
Thankyou for sending the photos of Duke Street where your Grandfather lived I never even knew my Grandmother lived there with her parents until Jen found this these old photos are amazing My Grandmother was Annie Fraser 1909 she was born in Blandford Street not far from Duke Street so they must have moved house she often spoke of her little sister Mary isabella who was killed on the road
very hard times those days.
Kind regards
Catherine 😊

My ancestor was from Ireland possibly Derry and I believe there were many many Irish families in that part of town. Were they Roman catholics, if so they may have attended t Mary's on Clayton Street with  my family?
