M. Guinet Eugène, Chef d'escadron au 60e Régiment
d'Artillerie.
Designé pour commander à la mobilisation une batte-
rie du dépôt,a ,sur sa demande reçu le commandement d'une
batterie du régiment . S'est acquitté de ses fonctions avec
la plus grande bravoure et en toutes circonstances ...
de son unité les résultats les plus efficaces.
Le 30 Août 1914, a été à moitié enseveli dans son
poste de commandement, un de ses téléphonistes étant mortel-
lement blesse à ses côtés; le 26 septembre 1914, au cours
d'une reconnaissance exécutée à proximité de l'ennemi et
sous un violent bombardement, a été très grièvement blessé
à la poitrine et à la main.

regimental battery. Fulfilled his duties with the greatest bravery and in all circumstances ... of his unit the most effective results.
On August 30, 1914, was half buried in his command post, one of his telephonists being lethally wounded at his side; on September 26, 1914, during reconnaissance carried out close to the enemy and under heavy bombardment, was very seriously injured at the chest and at the hand.
