Marriage record St Peter and St Paul Aston 1845
« on: Thursday 19 January 23 17:25 GMT (UK) »
Wonder if anyone has access to these records and would be kind enough to check something out for me?
I am researching the Hodgetts family who lived in Birmingham and want to make sure I am on the right strand.
I have found the marriage record of my Sarah Hodgetts to Christopher Williams on 31 Aug 1845, her father is listed as William. I would like to find out his trade which I cannot read it,  it's ???? Maker.
I have found a baptism record for a Sarah who's father William Hodgetts  is an engineer, trying to work out if this is the same person. Sarah's mother on the baptism certificate is Theodocia Poolton.
TIA

I would think it is "Boiler Maker"
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

Mm now I'm confused, I am pretty sure my Sarah's father is William as stated on the marriage certificate to Christopher Williams. The baptism certificate I have found for a Sarah with father William, Birmingham St Peter 7 Oct 1816 lists father as an engineer ,but as you point out address is the same. Not sure where to go from here
