Eldest child Emma b 1855 was b USA so they may have married there as I can't see a marriage in England.  The marriage cert will give the name of William's father.

Who did the other William King Fortt marry as it may be easier to determine his fathers name if he married in England

Did you check the Family Trees on Ancestry?  A tree shows the parents of the William who married Emma  as John & Maria as per Rosie's reply above

There is a baptism of a William Fortt (no middle name) in Bath 8 Aug 1831 - parents William & Mary.  Williams occupation a confectioner.  This family are in Bath in 1841 and in 1851 this William (the elder) has a different wife - Ruth though he is still in Bath.

William Fortt bn 1831 appears to be lodging with his future wife and inlaws the Bristons

Marriage Sep qtr 1847
FISK    Ruth

Tendring    12   365

ADDED
Could this be his wife
Death June qtr 1846

the one document I know is the right for the William that is my 2nd great Granduncle and son of William and Mary.
------------------------------
Name   William Fortt
Age   10
Estimated Birth Year   1831
Gender   Male
Where born   Somerset, England
Civil parish   St Michael
Hundred   Bath Forum
County/Island   Somerset
Country   England
Registration district   Bath
Sub-registration district   The Abbey
Neighbours   View others on page
Piece   969
Book   6
Folio   19
Page number   33
-------------

I know where everyone in this house hold ended except William Fortt Jr.
Truthfully looking at it I have no proof that Williams middle name is King.

that name was attached to a photo posted by someone that had photos of most of this exact family

I don't have the 1851 census for him that might have some clues on it???

the 1861 and later census' has him married to

Emma Bristow
1833–1909
BIRTH 1833 • Bath, Walcot, Somerset, England
DEATH 13 MAR 1909 • Bath, Somerset, England

most people on ancestry has this as a fact but it has not solid proof that is true?????

I did not make the connection myself

I guess more important for me would be who William Fortt Jr married and what happened to him (since he is the closer relative)

sorry if this is confusing because it is for me....
