Ann Gale - born abt 1810 Calne

Hi

I am trying to establish the family of Ann Gale who married James Shepard in Devizes in 1831.

Ann states she is born in Calne. I have found a baptism for an Ann Gale in 1813 to a William and Sarah Gale, of Calne, with William stated as a carpenter. 

This baptism is a possibility, as I can find no other likely candidate parents.  However, I cannot find any further info on these potential parents, including census records, other children, or marriage details to provide further pointers. 

Can anyone help find further details/documentary evidence, or offer a better fit? 

Any help to progress this line appreciated!

William Gale married Sarah Ellison 6 October 1811 in Clyffe Pypard. Both of this parish and witnesses were Sarah Gale and John Gale.

Children were

Ann born 19 February 1813 baptised 4 April 1813 in Calne
Sarah 1815-1816 Clyffe Pypard abode Calne.
John 7 June 1817 Clyffe Pypard abode Calne
Sarah 4 July 1819 Clyffe Pypard abode Calne.

Possible burial for William 21 April 1837 in Clyffe Pypard aged 56 so yob of c1781

Possible baptism 22 April 1781 Clyffe Pypard parents Robert and Mary

I had not been able to spot any other baptisms and so am pleased to see that you have found some.

Can a baptism be found for Sarah Ellison, and does she appear on the 1841 census anywhere?

Thanks for checking - I could not see anything either although the baptisms were very helpful.  I’m just hoping that Ann’s siblings survived to adulthood and had families too!
