Hello
Remember that newspapers can be short listed, or identified, by the fonts that they used. A printer should be able to tell you if the font used, in the clipping of interest, was used by the assumed publisher, in the time period of interest. If of historic age, and one in the Papers Past library, just a general comparison may help.
It was by this method, I was able to locate the publisher and press date, of a significant snippet clipping, about our extended family history.
Alan.
PS Have no time to search now, but from a quick look both the Evening Post [Wellington] and the Press [Christchurch] which used similar fonts, carried press news of "Miss Dorset' up to, and including her obit, and vandals stripping the home shortly after her death.
