Peck Family 1850 Australia
« on: Tuesday 21 February 23 07:36 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
I am not related to Pecks, but in my parents' belongings I have found a family reunion plate for the Peck family 1850-1987. I wonder if those dates ring any bells for people with that surname.

They may have been wheat farmers and wine growers because the outer edge of the plate is illustrated with these items. They might also have been settlers in South Australia, as the plate was made by the 'Personalized Porcelain Co.' 1 Fourth Avenue, Klemzig, South Australia, later known as Studio Potters, but no longer there. My parents used to holiday quite a lot in South Australia and may have picked it up on one of those trips.

The family may have originally come from Germany as the crudely designed family crest has the word 'Saxony' underneath the red cross, and the surname Peck at the top.

The photo makes the plate look oval shaped, but it is circular.

If you have a connection to this plate, please let me know.

Thank you, all of that looks promising and hopefully someone can find this post and be reunited with the plate!
