Manager Of a Silk Mill
« on: Sunday 26 February 23 14:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I am putting together a family tree for my friends 60th Birthday

Her 3x Grt Grandfather Thomas Hatton worked for over 40 years in the employment of Messrs Samuel Pearson and Brother in macclesfield. Thomas was the manager of the silk mill till his death in 1853. (information gained from Macclesfield Courier and Herald 30/04/1853

I have tried to find the location of the factory by searching on the internet but had no luck.

I would just like to add any information to her tree about anything interesting regarding Thomas's work role.

Thank you
Lynch Ireland, Scotland, Lancashire.   Whittle, Lancashire.   Day, Oxfordshire, Lancashire.  Norman, Ireland, India   Smith, Lancashire.    Bottomley, Yorkshire.  Walker, Scotland, U.S.A New Jersey, Lancashire.   Brennan, Ireland, Lancashire.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
