I’m looking for Jonathan Jones b. around 1834 parents I believe to be Thomas Jones and Mary ?.
I don't have a public tree on A* but will try to pop one up later this evening when I'm on my own laptop.
I can find him in the later census’ as well as his marriage on the 5th June 1853. I do not have the cert as I only found it today but I’m pretty sure he’s the right one.
The children I have seen are Thomas, 1856, Mary A 1859, Edward 1862 (my OH great grandfather), Elizabeth, 1864, Miriam 1867, Jonathan 1870 and Ishmael 1870.
I’ve been able to track Edward’s family down to the present day as we are lucky enough to have an Aunt who is still alive in her 90’s and is happy to chat about the Jones’ family. For info my OH descends from Edward’s son David Hughes Jones born 01/04/1900. I've already discovered that one of Edward's sisters married another sisters husband after her death - how do I put that in A* .
Have also been able to go back a couple of generations on Edward’s wife side as the marriages are in the parish registers and one of her witnesses was her sister. Parents were I believe John and Jane Hughes in the Llantysilio Parish.
Anything you can find out I would really appreciate – I know that there are a few censuses missing around Ruabon but not sure which ones.
PS - the areas seem to be Cefn and Ruabon in Denbighshire and Pentredwr, LLantysilio, Denbighshire with a few of the really early ones around Corwen, Merionethshire.
Thank you very much
Nesta
