French search of family member .I need help please.

I have Xavier Adam Adolphe Emile Cuvillier
birth  13TH AUG 1862 • Mulhouse, Mulhouse, France.
DEATH Unknown ?
then

BIRTH 1863 • Ballwilles Ht Rhein, Germany
DEATH 24TH APRIL 1864 • Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin, France.
have seen death entry for this boy.( full name as above )

I have Him marrying in 1887 to Celina Debray. ? ( Have I got this wrong ? )

I cannot find anything more on the first Brother,
 I do have a picture of Him in uniform aged 21 years dated 1883.
this was taken at  fort du parmont, Remiremont, Vosges, France.
and His name is written in full as above .

on 1866 census,
Xavier , is not with His family
He would have been only abt 4 yrs,
but His Brother Adolphe born 1864 aged 20 mths is .
 can anyone find information on Xavier .

Xavier was born in Bollwiller too. Very strange that Xavier's name was so close to Émile's - I did a quick check in the tables décennales for an early death for Xavier as you would think he had died and that Émile had been given a similar name.

No trace of a death for Xavier - which might suggest he died after say 1920 (so no records online) and before 1970 (when INSEE can provide information). Will keep an eye out though....

The names had been muddling My brain cells about,

I am just so please We have the picture of Him in 1884,

otherwise I would be thinking two of them were the same people ? if that makes sense ?

Have you had a look at the actual death certificate because the boy who died in April 1864 was born on 13 Aug 1862 i.e. brother 1 and brother 2 are the same person!
