Yes I was wondering about him, the Adams/ Williams/Shepherd families seem to be related in one way or the other.  Samuel Lovelace Shepherd born 1824 who married Amey Scrivens in 1854 are my Great Grandparents x 2.  My mother was a Williams.

I still cannot find Jane's burial in 1843

Thomas and Maria Shepherd had George Henry Shepherd baptised in 1847 in Newnham.

Yes they married in 1844 and had 9 children. At one stage he was  Governor of Little Dean in 1851 I believe.
