Hobart family - Visitation of Norfolk 1563 Vol II
« on: Tuesday 28 March 23 09:29 BST (UK) »
Hi all
Does anyone have access to a copy of the above other than the Google digitised version.
There is a section missing on top line of pg 63 and it happens to be some names I'd like to see .

There appears to be a copy at the Hathi Trust, with that page complete:

https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.b4945930&view=1up&seq=71

Alternatively, there's a composite volume which claims to include the 1563 visitation, but I haven't checked to see if your family is included:

Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

I have Harbord/Herbert (variant of Hobart) ancestors from Norwich but not found any link to the ones in the Visitation. I have got back to a Benjamin Harbord born 1703 in Norwich to William and Sarah. Mine may have come from the Wroxham/Aylsham area originally. Not 100% sure though.

I have only recently discovered the link to the Hobart family. Never knew I had such illustrious ancestors :)
If I spot any links I'll let you know

Are you connected to Intwood Hall in Norwich? Some of my ancestors owned it later until a decade is so ago.

Hi summersp
Yes I think it was Sir Henry Hobart in the 16th c that owned it for a time
