I am trying to find the parents of Philip, his entry on the Freebmd site shows his mother as Heaton, but I cannot find a marriage for a Vaux and and a Heaton. Any help would be much appreciated Kind Regards  David

Any clues on the 1939 National Register?

Also, bear in mind that the mother may have used a previous married surname on the Marriage Register.

1939 Register shows a Mary Vaux born 1893 living with her mother Mary Heaton born 1858 and a close file which may be Philip who died in 2022, but no father shown on entry although Mary is shown as married. Kind Regards David

PS I wonder if the father was already married when Philip was born !

If the father was in the Armed Forces, then he won't appear on the 1939 Register.

I think this unlikely bearing in mind Mary was 46 in 1939 and Philip's father was probably be of a similar age.

That works perfectly but why did the certificate show Mary as Heaton and not Henry as she married 1932.
