Can anyone find out if she ever married, I'm guessing she didn't.
I'm not finding anything about her .

etc........ They were her sister, Mrs. Merle Savage, and Janice Hopkins.

I'm assuming this is her as an 8 year old in 1935, at Smithfield (western Sydney) winning a couple of  Empire Day races:

The death notice lists more detail:

"SAVAGE, MERLE ALICE - November 25, 1993 (peacefully) at Sacred Heart Hospice, dearly loved daughter of Alice, dearly loved wife of the late Wal, loving mother and mother-in-law of ... , dear Marney to ... , loved sister and sister-in-law to John and Marg and Joan and Graham.
A nice person who will be missed by her family and friends."
