How to Find Burial Location?
« on: Thursday 08 September 05 14:08 BST (UK) »
How can I find the burial location of a relative that died in the Hamilton area around 1935? The burial place is not listed on his death notice obtained from Scotland's People.

Thanks
Jim ???

Try writing or phoning  North Lanarkshire
Cemeteries Office
Old Edinburgh Road
Bellshill
ML4 3JS
Tel: 01698 506 301
Fax: 01698 506 309

I don't know if there's a charge for this service.

Jim
For general enquiries on Cemetery services and war memorials, contact:

Name William Stanley
Phone 01698 717818
Email william.stanley[at][/blue]southlanarkshire.gov.uk (Replace [at] with @)

They can help with regards to finding which graveyard in Hamilton and as far as I know you can go and look at records for 30 minutes free of charge.

Hope this helps
