Hi all,
I was hoping for some help in researching my paternal grandmothers ancestry.
Mabel Griffiths nee Ramsden
B. 23/01/1935 d.5/12/2001
Oldham Lancashire
She has a sister named Ivy and her parents were Joseph and Mary (99% sure).
I have ordered her birth certificate from the UK but it never arrived, couldn’t find any solid records on Ancestry.

It looks as if the birth registrations for both Ivy 1926 and Mabel 1935 have the mothers name recorded as RAMSDEN.

WHat information do you have from Mabel's marriage certificate?

Ivy married Leslie SEATON 1949. I think she died 14 may 2010

Mabel married GRIFFITHS 1960. She died 5 Dec 2001

Using the DOB for Mabel of 23 January 1935, (her surname has been changed to Griffiths after she married)

On the 1939 register her parents are
Thomas born 20 March 1894  - Fireman (boiler)
Mary born 10 December 1896

Also a brother Thomas born 28 Feb 1930
