Could William have lived in Simcoe as well?

Using the alphabetized page for Gould Street, I looked for a neighbour of 63 Gould and then searched the 1921 census for James L Rose, 55 Gould, hoping that Wm. was shown on the same census page.
Mr. Rose is listed in the 1921 Toronto census. Listed under his name is William Smith - 63 Gould, with numerous names under his.  Wm Diplock is not one of the names.

Perhaps William left the boys’ home prior to the 1921 census.  Perhaps he didn’t remain in Toronto.

  Note: I tried searching for Charles on the 1921 census before searching for Wm. and also was not successful.  If I remember correctly, a Clarence Goodden lived at that address in 1919 and was on the 1921 census image, but Chas. was not shown on the census image.

Thank you All very much for your diligent research which has answered some questions. However itt appears from a tree I found today on Anc that Violet was also called Pat and married 4 times, the last one being to Harold B Karr. Presumably her son Marvin born 5/5/1929 was William's son?
Is it possible to find a marriage record for Lilian ?Link and William and whether they had any children?
