Just when you think it's great because you have researched your family back into the 17th and 18th Centuries, you suddenly find the writing on the OPRs changes and you can't read it! Robert Urquhart from the Scottish Records Association will give a Beginners workshop at the SGS library on how to decipher it.

The class will take place on Saturday, 10 June at 10am at the SGS Library, 15 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh and will last for approx. 2 hours, giving lots of time for a Q&A session.

The charge for the class is £15 for non-members and £10 for members. Participants will need to place an order for this course by the end of 9th June 2023. You can book a place here:
