Mathews 1841 Census

 Would it be possible for anyone to lookup the 1841 Berkshire Census for:-
         Isaac Mathews  b1827     at Bucklebury/Marlston
         Thomas Mathews  b1828  at Bucklebury/Marlston,
         Mary Mathews   b1831     at Bucklebury/Marlston.

Hi Penlee

I had a look at the 1841 census - but unfortunatly its not indexed yet - I checked Hampstead Norris (found Esther Bosleys family - let me know if you don't have the details) but no sign of the 3 Mathews's, I also checked Bucklebury - found their father Isaac at Marlstone Farm - but no sign of them - sorry but without an idea of place it is not possible to go through the whole thing - it might have to wait until Ancestry or British Origins have produced some sort of index - Sorry

Hello Debbie,
    Thank you so much for looking it up for me. I would be grateful for Esther Bosleys family details.
     The 3 Mathews remain a mystery, one grandfather is called Thomas Dewe and he lives in Hampstead Norris and had relatives at Sutton Courteney and the other grandparents  were isaac and Elizabeth Mathews who lived in Hampstead Norris as well.

I had already posted a reply regarding Esther BOSELEY before I saw the very useful info from DebbieG.   I've looked for all the individuals in the 1851 census that were identified by Debbie in the 1841, there are not many I'm afraid.

I can't find either of the parents.

Of the children:

The only William BOSELEY is aged 23 and listed as born Hungerford
The only Jane BOSELY is aged 21 and living with parents John and Elizabeth
No listing for Esther
No listing for John

Job BOSELEY, aged 16, Born Bucklebury, is a farm labourer in the GRIFFIN
household at Purley Farm, Purley

No listing for Edwin
