Missing Marriage for William & Emaline
« on: Monday 12 June 23 14:31 BST (UK) »
I'm hoping someone can help find a Marriage between William Henry Hake born 1848 & Emaline Ramer born 1853 of Manchester, York County, Pennsylvania. Their 1st child Bertha was born 1876 Manchester, York County.

William's parents Daniel Hake & Anna Mary Boose & Emaline's parents Jacob Ramer & Cassandra Frey.

This is a second attempt to find this marriage we had no luck last time. I have asked this before on Rootschat but I thought perhaps with new information being added all the time we would be lucky this time.

There seems to be a gap from 1855-1885 for marriage records that county has.  https://www.yorkcountyarchives.org/records.asp

Thanks very much for adding the earlier thread aghadowey it's very much appreciated as I wasn't sure how to add it on.

Thanks also shellyesq for the link to York County Archive, I haven't come across that before & could help me with other searches in the future. Odd that they have 30 years missing on the marriage records & perhaps why we can't find the marriage we want as you have pointed out.

There might be a gap for the civil marriage records, but there are quite a number of church records available on Family Search for e.g. York and/or York cty,. You will need to visit an FHC to view them.

There is a birth on FS for WH Hake showing a date of 6/7/1849 (not 1848)

On the death entry on FS for Emaline it is noted that she was called Emma as well.
