Two names on marriage Certificate

Hi all, I have just obtained a copy of my grandmother and grandfather marriage certificate, and for grandmothers name on it reads Millie Harbour otherwise Millicent Jones..why have 2 entries for one person.

Had she been previously married?
Or she had an alias? Ie her ‘offical name’ was one but she was commonly known as the other.

Did she have a step father? And commonly known by his surname?
Or was she born illegitimately and then her mother married?

I am sure there are other possible scenarios

Looking at the info…think she may have had children before she married.
