Braddan marriage 30 June 1787

Is anybody able to look at the parish register for the above marriage to see if there is any other detail than the date (30 June 1787) and the fact that the marriage was between Cornelius Murph(e)y and Jane Gelling please.

Hoping for a miracle and it will give me Cornelius' father or his occupation or his native country.

The only extra information is the names of the witnesses - Tho. Curphey and C Davies.

NB Tho. Curphey is a witness at lots of weddings!

Sorry K Garrad I forgot to look on there.

However, the fact that he is listed as a Mariner supplies a reason for his gadding about the country from birth in Ireland to marriage on IoM and bringing up children in Deptford, London.

I note that the marriage was by Licence - are these records available anywhere?  This time I did look on familysearch but didn't find anything.

Looking at ManxNoteBook (http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/famhist/genealgy/mctrcts.htm) I can find no reference no mention of Marriage Licences?

Also no mention in a book I hold "Unlocking The Past; A Guide to Exploring Family And Local History In The Isle of Man".
