Does anyone know if service records for War Department Police officers are available anywhere?

It is the 1950s and 1960s and it is the service records for individuals who were members of the WD Police.

Wouldn't the 100yr disclosure rule apply?

I suggest your first port of call should be the Ministry of Defence Police. You can make a freedom of Information request here: MDP-FOI-DP@mod.gov.uk
They should then come back and tell you whether they hold the relevant records, and if not who does, and also whether the records can be released. I suspect the answer to the last question will depend on whether the person you are interested in is, or may be, still alive since GDPR will prevent them releasing anything in such circumstances. However GDPR and Data Protection rules more generally do not apply to the dead.

The person I am interested in died in 1962 so I will give the MOD Police a try.  Thanks for the link.
