OBE Fredrick Higham
« on: Sunday 23 July 23 11:30 BST (UK) »
I just found out that my grandmothers grandfather was an OBE. He was born in 1878 and died in  1960.  He was an impressive man with some impressive titles. He was a Gasworks Manager and a Special Constable. In the First world war he saved two people from drowning in a heroic effort. I’d like to know more about his sons does anybody have any info. Fredrick Sydney Hingham and Arthur Lawrence Higham.

Looks like son Arthur was a chip of the old block:

Higham, Arthur L., aged 15 Case 43488

At 10.40 a.m. on the 21st July, 1917, a naval airship fell into the Humber at Brough about 30 yards from the side. Arthur L. Higham, aged 15, swam out and succeeded in saving one man.
