Although Kate is listed as 22 when she married on the 1939 Register her birth date is listed as 20 May 1897?  So could this be her birth?

This may be Alfred, wife and son in 1901 living at 59, Linda Street, Battersea, Wandsworth (although his age in rather out)

Thanks that's Great very grateful for that. I'm related to Edward plato Gurney 2nd cousin 3 times removed. Funny as I married a Gurney but no relation to Edward.

It does looks like the right family

This is them together in 1911 with a new wife for Alfred  However Alfred is still alive in 1921 - Could Kate have lied about her age etc so she could get married without permission  :-\ ??
