Could somebody please help me to read the occupation of my 3 x Great Grandfather, James Hargreaves from the 1861 Census of Bury. I can see Clog + Shoe Maker, PM (what's that?) but no further.   ???
Cornwall: Bailey, Bilkey, Collins, Goldsworthy, Holman, Ivey, Martin, Michell, White.
Lancashire: Clough, Hargreaves,Hilton.

It looks like local - could it be rector?  local rector

In view of what follows, P.M. is probably Primitive Methodist, then Local Preacher.
