Where are Alfred and Alice.

I have the birth certificate of Margaret Jane Wilcox. Born 8 May 1873 at 49 Commercial Road Lambeth. Registered 22 May 1873.
Father Alfred Wilcox , waiter. Mother Alice Wilcoxon formerly Shea. Alfred made his mark.

I can find nothing at all about this family  no baptism,  no marriage.  Nothing in census,  no deaths.
I found the address in 1871 but no clues there.
Perhaps someone else can spot something I`m missing.

Have you looked for any possible siblings for Margaret Jane born around 1873? 

He or she (if there are any) might give us another name to look for.

Also possible her parents weren't married and went their separate ways.

Is M J related to you?  If so does her marriage confirm the father?

That certainly fits. I thought Shea  might Shea might be an  Irish name.
Now to find them in a census.
