I'm so grateful that you found all that and that you could make sense of it  he must have been in France at some point as well?

I'm so grateful that you found all that and that you could make sense of it  he must have been in France at some point as well?

Looking at his service record, he served on the ship KOSMOS between 9 April 1918 and 31 March 1919. Kosmos was His Majesty's Trawler Kosmos -- Kosmos was an Aberdeen registered trawler hired for use as a minesweeper in April 1915 until her return in 1919. She was armed with a 6 pound gun. She would have seen service around Britain especially in the English Channel.
