Can anyone relate 'Parish of Beading? in ye County of Sussex' to any place in Sussex? The item is a 1747 marriage in the City of London. In 1754 I record the couples first Child Baptised in Wiston, Sussex. Thanks.

There is both an Upper Beeding and a Lower Beeding - not particularly close to each other .

Yes, thanks Pheno, I noticed afterwards. I have added 'Beading(Beeding - Upper or Lower?), Sussex' as the reference on the Marriage on my family tree, pending a further miracle as to which one it is!

Wiston is nearer Upper Beeding (about 3 miles) than Lower Beeding, (about 8 )
